For me, a beautiful BDSM image does not begin with rope, a collar or latex.
It begins with trust.
Before a shoot like this, it is especially important to understand what a person wants to show, what feels acceptable and what remains beyond their boundaries. Consent, clearly defined limits and conscious interaction all play a central role in BDSM.
For a photographer, this is fundamental.
A model should never do something only because “it will look more dramatic in the frame.” My task is to create a space where a person can reveal the part of themselves they do not usually show to others.
Everyone has their own desires, images and fantasies. They do not have to fit a ready-made template.
Some people are drawn to the aesthetics of shibari. Others prefer role-play, latex or leather. Someone may want to feel stronger, more provocative or more open — or, on the contrary, more vulnerable.
All of this can become part of a photograph.
I am comfortable with unconventional ideas. If you have an image, fantasy or fetish you have long wanted to express through photography, you can simply tell me about it.
We will discuss the concept, boundaries, styling, location and atmosphere of the future series.
It matters to me that a person never feels judged or forced to play someone else's role.
The best images appear when a person allows themselves to be honest about their own desires.
That is why I do not see BDSM photography as something “strange” or “shocking.” For me, it is another way to reveal character, sexuality, inner strength, vulnerability or the dynamic between people.
From there, my task as a photographer is not to judge your fantasy, but to find a way to present it beautifully in the frame.
